Although

If you feeling a
little flat after the festive period, don't despair,
Carnival is just around the corner. Throw your sequins,
beads and skimpy costumes into a travel bag, book a
flight to Portugal and join in the celebrations,
Portuguese style. Up and down Portugal there will be
hundreds of parades and parties to celebrate Mardi Gras
(Fat Tuesday), which is also a national holiday in
