A three bedroom stone cottage with
private terrace available for holiday let near Tomar, central
Portugal. The cottage, which is situated at the popular campsite,
Camping Redondo,
has been restored to a high level. The cottage was originally a
farmhouse when the campsite was an olive farm.
Situated in an elevated position the
cottage has good views over the campsite's two acre grounds. The
cottage, which is double glazed, has many original features
including wooden beamed roof. There are three double bedrooms, a
large living room, spacious kitchen diner and private terrace.
Casa Rustica has access to the campsite's facilities including
swimming pool, sun terrace, restaurant and bar, children's play
areas and games room.
Situated in the village of Poço Redondo,
Camping Redondo is 350
metres above sea level and is surrounded by a landscape of vineyards, olive and
fig trees, orange and lemon groves and eucalyptus and pine forests.
Camping Redondo is open all year and has Wireless Internet and postal facilities
for clients.
Camping Redondo also operates a taxi service to and from
the historic town of
Tomar,
only ten minutes drive away, for
clients.
Casa Rustica is situated only 300 metres from the village of Poço
Redondo where there is a cafe. The neighbouring village of Junceira,
is around two minutes drive. Junceira has a petrol station, cafe and
restaurant.
The historic town of
Tomar,
which is home to the UNESCO listed
Convento do Cristo is only ten minutes drive from
the property.
Tomar
has a wide range of shops, cafes,
restaurants, bars, banks, sports centres, historic monuments and bus
and train station. Tomar also hosts a large, weekly market every
Friday morning adjacent to the River Nabão.
The property is also a short drive from the beautiful
Castelo do Bode lake, which is popular for all
kinds of water sport activities including canoeing, fishing,
sailing, water skiing and swimming.
Castelo do Bode lake is also a haven for wildlife
and there are a many scenic walks along the shores for those who
enjoy rambling and bird watching. The small town of Serra, on the way to the lake there is a small well stocked
supermarket, post office, butcher, baker, cash machine (ATM) and
several cafes.
The property is situated in a quiet location though is only around
one and a quarter hours from Lisbon airport, ensuring your drive or
train journey is enjoyable, but not long. Casa Rustica is easy to
locate and a central base to explore the beautiful surroundings and soak up the
atmosphere of central Portugal. |
