A two bedroom village house with country views for sale near Tomar in central Portugal. The house, which is set over one floor, is connected to mains water, electricity, telephone and sewage system. The house is situated within the village of Alqueidão and as such there are neighbouring houses either side, however the property does have open country views to the front and rear aspects. The house is in a habitable condition and is within walking distance of amenities. The house is accessed via a inclined driveway to the front, there there is space to park one vehicle. There is a walled terrace to the front which has good views over the countryside. The main entrance to the house is via a set of traditional double opening doors. These lead into a central hallway, which runs the depth of the house. The hallway has parquet wooden flooring and a decorative wooden ceiling. Off the hallway there are two bedrooms. Both of these bedrooms have wood laminate floors and wooden ceilings. There is a study room, which also has a wood laminate floor and could be used as a third, single bedroom if required. The bathroom is partially tiled and has a large shower, toilet, bidet and vanity basin with storage cupboard beneath and mirror above. The kitchen is situated at the rear of the house and is double aspect. The kitchen has a large, traditional fireplace to one corner and a dining area. The kitchen has a stainless steel sink and drainer and some base level units, though is bespoke in design. The kitchen has an exterior access door, which leads out to the side of the house and the courtyard garden. There is a wooden staircase off the kitchen which leads to the house's attic. The attic is currently used for storage purposes, but could quite easily be converted into additional living accommodation. The attic has a wooden beamed roof and electrics have already been installed. The living room is accessed off the kitchen and has a wood laminate floor and a wooden beamed roof. The courtyard garden at the side of the house can be accessed either from the kitchen or from the exterior at the front of the house. There is a single storey storage building within the garden, which is currently used for storage purposes and is where the central heating machinery is housed. The garden is paved and is large enough to create a private and secluded dining area. The house is located in the village of Alqueidão in central Portugal and is within walking distance of several cafes and a small shop. Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir, is a short drive from the property (approximately two kilometres). The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 15-20 minutes drive from the property. Tomar has a variety of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, cafes, shops, banks, schools, health centres, university, hospital, cinema, art galleries and bus and train stations. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries. |
