Although mains water is not connected to the property, is runs directly in front of the property. The cottage has approximately 100 square metres of land to the rear and side. The cottage is situated in the quiet village of Alverangel in central Portugal and is within walking distance of a cafe and a small restaurant. The cottage is also a short walk from Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir. Castelo do Bode lake is popular for all types of water sports activity including swimming, skiing, sailing, canoeing and fishing.
The world heritage town of Tomar, which has builder's merchants, shops, cafe bars, restaurants, shops, hospital and bus and train station, is approximately 10 minutes by car. The property is easily accessed from Lisbon airport, which is approximately one and a quarter hour's by car. |
