The bathroom is partially tiled and has a bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. There are two bedrooms to the ground floor, one of which is double aspect. Both bedrooms have tiled floors. There is also a store room to this floor, which could be converted into a laundry room. First Floor: The marble faced staircase leads to a landing area, which has a concrete floor and a wooden beamed roof. This area does require some finishing including the installation of a guard rail around the staircase. Off the landing area there are two bedrooms, both of which have gable end windows. The bedrooms have wooden ceilings and tiled floors. There is a large veranda, which is accessed at the rear of the house via a concrete staircase. This veranda has good views over the garden and countryside. There is a detached, two storey garage adjacent to the house. This garage has a corrugated metal roof and an 'up and over' vehicle access door. There is a spacious storage room beneath the garage, which has two metal personnel access door. The house has a fenced garden with patio areas to the rear. There is a gated driveway leading to the garage. At the front of the house there are some mature shrubs and to the rear there are some mature fruit trees including fig and orange. The house is situated on the outskirts of the town of Ansião in central Portugal. Ansião has a selection of shops, restaurants, a supermarkets, bakers, butchers, library, schools, municipal sports centre and a weekly market.
Coimbra, Portugal's third city, is approximately half an hours drive from the property. Coimbra is home to Portugal's oldest university and is a popular destination for tourists. Coimbra has several large shopping centres, builders merchants, schools, train and bus stations and a large selection of Fado bars.
The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is approximately 30 drive by car. Tomar is a popular bustling town with several supermarkets, shops, boutiques, cinema, builders merchants, schools, university, art galleries, municipal swimming pools and sports centres. Tomar hosts a weekly market every Friday which is popular with both locals and tourists alike.
The closest airport to the property is located at Porto, which is approximately one and three quarter hours' by car. Porto airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
