The house, which has been constructed in
stone with a traditional render finish, is located within the heart of
the village of Carregueiros. The house has wooden framed windows and
doors and is situated on a quite cobbled street. The window and door
surrounds are stone.
The house is set over two floors and
measures 72 square metres of construction. The main entrance, which is
double opening wood panelled door, is located to the front of the house.
There is an entrance vestibule with a staircase to the first floor. Off
the vestibule there is a spacious storage room.
To the first floor there are further rooms,
which have a wooden floor. The house does require modernisation works,
but is centrally located within the village. |

The house is situated in the historic
village of Carregueiros in central Portugal. Carregueiros has several
cafe bars, restaurants, shops, post office, school, mini-market and is
home to Pegões
Aqueduct. The aqueduct was constructed to feed water to the Convento do
Cristo in Tomar and spectacularly spans the valley of Pegões outside of
Carregueiros.
The historic town of Tomar is approximately
10 minutes by car and has several supermarkets, health centres, schools,
bowling alley, art gallery, bus and train station, shops, museums,
restaurants, banks and post offices. Tomar is a popular town and
attracts many tourists on the Knight Templars trail during the spring,
summer and autumn.
The closest airport to the property is
located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car.
Lisbon airport has several low cost airlines which operate scheduled
flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
