A substantial six bedroom detached house with land for sale close to Tomar in central Portugal. The house, which is set over three floors, measures 451 square metres of construction and is set on a plot of land measuring 2,520 square metres.

The property is connected to both mains water and electricity and is ideal for someone looking to run a bed and breakfast establishment. The property is situated on the edge of a village and is within walking distance of amenities including a cafe, restaurant and mini-market and is only ten minutes drive into the historic town of Tomar.

The house is set on a quiet road through the village and only receives local traffic. The main entrance to the house is situated on the first floor (though appears as though ground floor to the front). The main entrance leads into a spacious entrance hallway, which has a tiled floor. Off this hallway there is a spacious living room, which has two sets of patio doors which lead out to a covered terrace at the front of the house.

There are two bedrooms to the first floor, both of which have cork tiled floors. There is a fully tiled bathroom to this floor, which has a bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. There is also a second smaller living room on the first floor. This living room has a corner stone faced fireplace and a tiled floor.

The kitchen to the first floor is spacious and has a tiled floor and partially tiled walls. There is a range of built in wooden base and eye level wooden units with marble work surfaces. The kitchen is large enough to incorporate a dining table. Off the kitchen there is a sun room, which is currently being used as a utility area. The sun room has views over the garden and an exterior access door leading out to a veranda at the rear of the house. There is also a very large garage to to this level, accessed off the hallway. The garage has a metal vehicle access door and a concrete floor. The garage is large enough to accommodate up to seven or eight vehicles, though is also ideal as a large entertainment room.

A marble faced staircase leads to the second floor accommodation. The staircase opens out into a very large landing area, which could be used as a third living room area. This landing area has a tiled floor and a set of patio doors which lead out to to a private veranda at the front of the house. There are built in wooden cupboards on the landing area providing ample storage.

There are three bedrooms to the second floor, all of which have cork tiled floors. Two of the bedrooms have patio doors which lead out to a veranda at the front of the house. There is a fully tiled bathroom to the second floor. The bathroom has a bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and pedestal sink. There are also two storage rooms to the second floor, which have concrete beamed roofs and concrete floors.

The ground floor of the house can be accessed either internally via a marble faced staircase off the hallway, or externally. The ground floor of the property has a large integral garage, which has an up and over vehicle access door. The garage has a tiled floor and could be converted into additional living space quite easily. Off the garage there is a hallway with a tiled floor. This hallway gives access to a bedroom, which has a cork tiled floor, as well as a spacious second kitchen. The kitchen has a tiled floor and partially tiled walls. The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which can be accessed both by car and train from Tomar. Both journeys take approximately one and a quarter hours. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
