The house is situated in
the heart of countryside in Central Portugal has has good 360 degree
views. The house is not connected to mains water or electricity. The
house had been inhabited in the past, however it does require total
renovation. The house is set over two floors. To one end of the house
there is a set of granite steps, which lead to a covered entrance. The
first floor is one open space with a wooden floor, which would require
replacing. The roof is constructed using eucalyptus beams and the roof
tiles are hand made originals.
There are several access
doors on the ground floor, all of which have stone lintels. The ground
floor has been divided into three divisions and this floor was
traditionally used for storage. The house has a courtyard garden to the
rear and there is a vehicle entry gate with room for a vehicle to park.
There are some trees
within the courtyard garden, which does require cutting back. The
property does need total renovation, however it could be turned into a
cosy country retreat. |

The house is situated in Casal do Alem,
which is a small hamlet close to Alvaiázere in Central Portugal. The
house has good views over the countryside and is located in a peaceful
area.
The town of Alvaiázere is approximately 10
minutes drive by car. Alvaiázere has several small supermarkets, shops,
cafes, restaurant, tourist information office, library, weekly market,
sports centre, health centre and municipal swimming pool.
The historic town of Tomar, which is home
to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is approximately 40 minutes
drive from the property. Tomar has supermarkets, a bus and train
station, cinema, library and university.
The property is approximately equal
distance to both Lisbon and Porto airports, with a travelling time of
around two hours. Both airports are serviced by several low-cost
airlines flying to and from the United Kingdom. |
