A delightful detached wooden villa with private swimming pool and breath-taking views available for short term holiday occupation close to the historic town of Ponte de Lima, Costa Verde, Portugal. The villa, which has been tastefully furnished, sleeps up to eight persons and is set over two floors. The property is close to a variety of superb beaches, art galleries and to traditional fishing villages filled with historic monuments ensuring you have no end of activities to enhance your holiday on your door step. The property is set over two floors and is positioned in secluded location to take advantage of the stunning views over the River Minho (Rio Minho) and the northern Spanish border. To the ground floor of the property there is a spacious open plan living room and dining room with an open fireplace and large, picture windows providing views of the countryside. The dining room has a set of glazed doors leading out to a covered terrace area ideal for Al Fresco dining. There is a well equipped kitchen to the ground floor complete with all modern amenities and a good variety of built in base and eye level units. The property has four good sized bedrooms, two of which have twin beds. There is a master bedroom (with double bedroom) which has an en-suite bathroom complete with shower, vanity basin, bidet and toilet. The third bedroom has three single beds and a mezzanine with a further single bed. There is a family sized bathroom with bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and vanity basin. The property has a private swimming pool and gardens and a garage with table tennis table. The gardens are well maintained and private. This property is perfect for a large family or two families holidaying together. Set in a marvelous location, with views over the Minho River and beyond into Galicia is a perfect base from which to explore this fascinating and green region. Near Moledo beach and Minho River beach, breathtaking scenery, enchanting village, art and history can all be found within easy reach. Compiled with beauty and tradition, there are also local attractions such as the lively local village of Vila Nova de Cerveira (Art village) and Caminha, excellent beaches at Moledo do Minho and Minho River, and further afield the interesting local capital of Viana do Castelo, a must for excellent shops and restaurants. Further still one should not miss the opportunity to visit the historic city of Porto, with its beautiful old riverside quarter and renown Port Wine lodges. Please not that although the property is in a rural location some road noise maybe audible. The village of Vila Nova de Cerveira, which has all necessary facilities including a Saturday market, river beach, sports association, windsurfing, restaurants, bars, fishing, canoeing/rafting and sports recreation area. Modelo Beach, popular with surfers is only 11 kilometres from the property (surfing school in situ). The village of Seixas is five kilometres from the property has a variety of water sport facilities. The closest airport to the property is at Vigo in Spain, only 50 kilometres drive. However Porto airport is only 90 kilometres south and also provides a variety of airlines who operate regular flights into and out of the Portugal. situated at Porto, which is approximately 50 minutes by car. |
