A two bedroom wooden house with lake views for sale close to the quaint central Portugal village of Dornes. The house, which is set over two floors, is also only 300  metres from the shore of Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir.

The house is connected to both mains water and electricity and is double glazed throughout. The house measures 149 square metres of construction and is set on a plot measuring 1,491 square metres. The main entrance to the house, which was built in 2003, is located at the side and accessed via a covered veranda, which wraps around two sides of the house providing good, uninterrupted views of the lake. The main entrance leads directly into a spacious, double aspect living room, which has good views over the lake.

The living room has a tiled floor and wooden walls and ceiling. Off the living room there is a kitchen, accessed via  part glazed wooden door. The kitchen has a range of built in base and eye level wooden units and granite work surface. There is a one and a half stainless steel sink and drainer, extractor fan and space for a large, range style oven. The kitchen also has an exterior access door which leads out to a stone face staircase providing access to a private patio area complete with built in barbecue.

There are two double bedrooms, both of which have tiled floors. There is a family bathroom adjacent to the bedrooms, which is fully tiled and has a wooden ceiling. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment above, toilet, bidet and vanity basin with storage cupboard beneath.

The lower ground floor of the property is accessed externally at the rear. To the lower ground floor of the house there is a spacious double garage, which has an up and over vehicle access door and a tiled floor. In addition to this there is a spacious living room also with a tiled floor and open, stone fireplace. Off the living room there is a further kitchen. This kitchen has some built in base and eye level units along with a stainless steel sink and drainer. There is also a bathroom to the lower ground floor. The bathroom is partially tiled and has a shower, toilet and vanity basin.

At the side of the house there is a driveway which leads around to the rear and the garages as well as ample parking. The patio areas around the house have been paved in traditional marble setts (Calcadas) and there is a mature Cork Oak tree as well as some fruit trees in situ.

The property is located only a short walk from the Centro Nautico de Zęzere, where it is possible to hire canoes and kayaks to use on Castelo do Bode lake, which is a haven for all water sport activities. There are other houses either side of the property though the area is relatively peaceful and quiet.

The closest village to the property is situated at Dornes, which is around seven kilometres drive. Dornes is a quaint village, which has several cafes and shops and a hexagonal stone tower constructed by the Knights' Templar.

The larger town of Ferreira do Zęzere is around 12 kilometres drive. Ferreira do Zęzere has supermarkets, shops, banks, restaurants, cafes, school, sports centre, library and bus station.

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 25 minutes drive from the property. Tomar is a popular location for visitors and has a large variety of cafes, restaurants, bars, bus and train station and other historic monuments.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
