In an attempt to encourage the
creation of new businesses in Portugal and to reduce the
lengthy waiting times of creating these businesses, the
Portuguese government introduced a new scheme called
Empresa Na Hora (company in an hour) in January 2006.
Essentially Empresa Na Hora are one
stop shops allowing the easy creation of businesses,
under one roof all within an hour. Empresa Na Hora's
however have not replaced the more traditional Centro de
Formalidades das Empresas, but complement the services
provided to a wider audience. |
