If you
want to visit Portugal, but don't want to drive or fly
it is possible now to do so by way of rail. From
mainland Europe getting a train (comboio)
to
Portugal is relatively straight
forward. There are international services between
France, Spain and Portugal.
And, if
you are travelling from the United Kingdom you are now
able to, via the Eurostar, travel from Waterloo Station,
London to
Portugal. When travelling from another country
you will have to change trains. In France and Spain you
can travel on the TGV and in
Portugal you move onto the Sud Espresso.
Travelling from Paris to
Lisbon on the
train is scheduled to take under 24 hours. |
