A
enjoyable tale mixing amateur football with reality
brought seamlessly for our reading pleasure by first
time author John Trueman, a master of the written word.
John retired from working his hectic
working life in Swindon with his wife Sue, to the
historic region of Granada in Spain. However seeking a
quieter and possibly more anonymous existence moved to a
secret location east of Tomar in central Portugal, two
years ago.
Things, as John would say, have not
quiet worked out as he would hoped. The affable
southerner is now the regular and popular host of the
Saturday morning breakfast radio show, hosted by Vida
Nova FM 105.5, Good Morning Portugal.
Trueman's first novel,
Grass
Roots, is an enjoyable foray into
the world of amateur Saturday football league and the
characters therein. |
