The valley that Ribeira Velha nestles into is pure portugal at its most tranquil but excellent local restaurants and the N110 are only one and a half kilometres away. Tomar is just half an hours' drive, a lovely place to pass the day, explore the castle, lunch and shop.

Sophisticated Coimbra is not much further. Alternatively you are in easy reach of the Lousa mountains or beaches at Figueira or Pedra. Even more local is the gorgeous Templar village of Dornes, countless river beaches and other beauty spots. Fresh food readily available in the many markets and restaurants in the surrounding villages. Central Portugal is undoubtedly the perfect place to unwind!
