The property, which is
connected to mains water and electricity is ideally suited to be turned
into a bed and breakfast establishment. From the house there are good
views over the countryside and of Castelo do Bode lake. The house is
situated in a peaceful area but within easy driving distance of Tomar.
The house is set over two floors
and has ample living accommodation and briefly comprises:
Ground Floor:
There is an entrance hall with a tiled floor. There is a staircase to
the first floor off the entrance hallway. The living room is spacious
and has an unusual stone clad floor, which is matched in some places on
the walls. There living room, which is double aspect, also has a central fireplace with a wood
burning stove insert. The kitchen has a large Portuguese chimney, a
stone floor and some base level units. Off the kitchen there is a large
pantry which has a stone paved floor and partially tiled walls. The
kitchen can be accessed either from the living room or via the hallway.
There are four bedrooms
on this floor. All of the bedrooms have aluminium windows. There is also
a partially tiled toilet to this floor.
First Floor: The
staircase from the ground floor leads into a hallway, which runs the
depth of the building. This hallway has a large built in cupboard. There
is a spacious communal bathroom to the first floor. This bathroom has
three separate shower cubicles, wash basin and toilet and is fully
tiled. There is a family bathroom, which is fully tiled, with a bath,
toilet, vanity basin and bidet. There are four more bedrooms to this
floor, all of which have tiled floors. One of the bedrooms has an
en-suite bathroom with a bath and double vanity unit. There is an
exterior access door off the hallway, which leads out to a covered
veranda which has good views to Castelo do Bode lake.
Off this veranda there
is an external staircase which leads to a spacious attic. This attic has
a wooden beamed roof and a concrete floor and could be converted into
more living accommodation if required.
The house is set on a
plot measuring 3,500 square metres and has good views over the
countryside. There is a gravel drive to the house (approximately 300
metres) and there are some mature fruit trees. The property also has a
large store room (40 square metres) which has been used as a garage.
The property is
currently unoccupied and was run as a youth hostel and would convert
quite easily into a bed and breakfast type establishment. |
