The closest town to the farmhouse is only a five minute drive and where there are restaurants and shops. Within 15 minutes of the farmhouse there are chemists and a hospital. The historic towns of Braga and Guimarães are around two hours drive. The Côa rock carvings are around two and a half hours by car, though only around two hours by train on the famous Corgo line. The nearest train station to the property is five minutes from the property.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Porto, which is around one and a quarter hours' by car. Porto airport is serviced by a  variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
