A detached two bedroom restored stone cottage for rent, fully furnished for short term or long term let near Macas Dona Maria in Central Portugal. Quinta Caneiro is set over two floors and is set in a tranquil location with good views over the surrounding countryside. Quinta Caneiro makes the ideal base for anyone looking to explore the delights of the central Portugal region, whether on holiday or searching for their own dream home. The accommodation is set over two floors and comprises an open plan living and dining room with kitchen on the ground floor. This room is double aspect and is entered via a set of double opening part glazed doors. The living room is furnished with two double sofa beds, British Satellite television system, DVD and log burner. There is a six-seater dining table and a number of games, jigsaws, books and DVDs are provided for guests. The kitchen is fully fitted and there is a selection of built in base level units along with a gas oven and hob, washing machine and fridge freezer. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided along with ironing board, iron and trouser press. There are two bedrooms to the first floor. The main bedroom is equipped with a double bed and built in wooden wardrobes and there is a part glazed patio door which leads to a private patio area with good mountain views. The second bedroom has bunk beds. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with a shower above, toilet and pedestal sink. Quinta Caneiro is set in two acres of gardens and there is a built in barbecue area with exterior tables and chairs for six persons at the side of the cottage. Guests also have access to a six metre diameter, out of ground swimming pool during the summer months. (*please note the swimming pool area is not fenced and children must be supervised by an adult during use). Quinta Caneiro is situated in a secluded position and is within walking distance of the central Portugal town of Macas Dona Maria. The town of Macas Dona Maria has a variety of amenities including cafes, restaurant, mini-market, weekly market, pharmacy and town hall. The larger towns of Alvaiazere and historic Tomar are a short drive from the property. The third city of Portugal, Coimbra, is around 30 minutes drive from Quinta Caneiro. The closest airport to the accommodation is located at Lisbon, which is around one and three quarter hours' drive. A number of low-cost airlines have schedule flights into and out of Lisbon on a regular basis. |
