Tomar is famous for it's UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo and Castle, which was constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th Century.

The cottage is easy to locate and within an easy driving distance of Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir, a popular location for many water sports. The closest airport to the cottage is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a quarter hours' drive by car.
