The oldest golf course in
Portugal
is situated in the north of the country. The Oporto Golf Club was
founded in 1890 by British residents. The Skeffington Cup, named
after the club's first president (Charles Skeffington) is played
annually.
However there are a range of
other, newer courses in Northern Portugal today to ensure even the
keenest golfer does not have to travel far to have a round. |
