Ground Floor: There are three original exterior access doors to the property, each with restored wooden 'gothic' double opening wooden doors. One of these doors leads into an entrance hallway, which has a tiled floor.
This hallway runs the depth of the house and has high ceilings and a wooden faced staircase, which leads to the first floor accommodation.
There is a double aspect living room to the ground floor, which a set of glazed patio doors leading out to a private, courtyard garden to the rear of the house. The living room has a tiled floor and a traditional style fireplace.
The kitchen of the property can be accessed either from the hallway or from the courtyard garden. There is a spacious dining room to the ground floor, which has a tiled floor and an exterior access door with internal wooden shutters.

Off this hallway there are three double bedrooms, all of which have wooden framed windows with internal wood shutters. Each of the bedroom doors have traditional glazed panels above and decorative moulding. Two of the bedrooms have built in wooden cupboards with glass fronted displays.
One of these bedroom is double aspect and has a set of part glazed patio doors which open out onto a 'Juliet' style balcony. Another of the bedrooms has a traditional nesting ball which allows close up viewing of nesting and hatching birds.
There is also a family sized bathroom to the first floor, which is fully tiled and has a bath with shower above as well as a toilet, bidet and pedestal sink.
Annex: There is a large, detached annex at the rear of the house. This annex is set over one floor and has a wooden beamed roof. There is a spacious kitchen dining area within the annex with a selection of built in base level units. The floor of this annex is tiled and there is a fully tiled bathroom.
Garden: The property has a private, walled garden to the rear of the house. This garden can be accessed either from the side of the property or from the house itself. The garden has a paved patio area as well as a dining area with built in barbecue underneath a wooden gazebo. The gazebo already has mature climbing plants in place providing shade for the summer.

The house is situated in the small village of Paço in central Portugal. The village has several cafe bars and a mini-market. The larger, historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is approximately 11 kilometres drive from the house.
Tomar is a popular bustling town with several supermarkets, shops, boutiques, cinema, builders merchants, schools, university, art galleries, municipal swimming pools and sports centres. Tomar hosts a weekly market every Friday which is popular with both locals and tourists alike.
Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir, is around a ten minute drive from the property. Castelo do Bode is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including sailing, swimming, canoeing, scuba diving, fishing and water skiing.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' drive by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
