Restored traditional cottage in gardens of local Manor house dating from early 19th century set in 25 acres of countryside in the foothills of the Serra da Lousa at Pereiro de Baixo.

One kilometre from the small market town of Vila Nova de Poiares and 15 kilometres east of the ancient university city of Coimbra. Beautiful beaches approx 45 minute drive.

The living room diner has French doors opening onto a terrace and is equipped with a television, radio and CD player.

Vila Nova de Poiares is situated where two wine regions meet and visits can be arranged to some of the wine cellars (Adegas). There is a traditional market on a Monday in Poiares and throughout the week at surrounding towns. Ideal Hiking Countryside. Ten pin bowling. Go-Karting and Kayaking. Many local bar / restaurants. Several river beaches nearby. Supermarket 1 kilometre.

Secluded, but not isolated : The little town of Vila Nova de Poiares is one kilometre away. There you will find

bars, restaurants, banks, Internet cafe, supermarkets and there is a village market every Monday. There is also ten pin bowling and Go karting. Two kilometres away there is Kayaking on the river Mondego and children love to play on the sandy river beaches.
