The Projecto de Arquitectura
or Architectural Project is a comprehensive brief including architectural drawings,
a topographical survey and a list of materials to be used
on the construction.
As well as a full set of architectural plans, the
Projecto de Arquitectura
lists details including what colour (or material)
the exterior facades will be, type and style of windows and doors and
the length of time it will take to construct as well as an average build
cost.
The Projecto de Arquitectura is usually
submitted to the local council (Câmara) first for approval
before the second stage is submitted to ensure there are no costly
changes have to be made to the
Especialiada Projecto.
As in the United Kingdom once you have submitted your plans to the
council for consideration you will have to display notice at the
property so all interested parties (neighbours etc) are informed and can
view the proposed plans.
These notices are called Avisos and
are available from the Câmara, costing
around 6-7€. Failure to display an Aviso can result in hefty fines from
the Câmara.
Notice of your planning approval or denial will be sent, by registered
post to the address you have stated on the planning application. |
