The farm has a considerable amount of
buildings, some of which has fallen into disrepair. The construction
measures a total of 2,316 square metres and the land measures 22,480
square metres. The farm is over one hundred years old and has a good
variety of mature trees and shrubs including orange, lemon, pine and
eucalyptus.
Farm house: The farmhouse is set
over two floors and has many traditional features including an ornate
plaster moulded ceiling. The window and door surrounds are carved stone
and there are Mosaic tiles to some of the floors.
The main entrance to the farmhouse leads
into a spacious and airy hallway, off which there is a staircase to the
first floor accommodation. The large living room, which has hand painted
tiles to the walls is accessed off this hallway via an old, wooden
panelled door. The living room also has a large stone fireplace and two
windows with hand carved stone surrounds. There is a spacious dining
room with a decorative moulded plaster ceiling. The dining room also has
hand painted tiles to the walls and traditional ceramic tiles to the
floor. There is also a traditional style 'reading' seat, recessed in one
of the walls of the dining room.
The kitchen has a large traditional style
fireplace, a tiled floor and walls. The kitchen has an exterior access
door, which leads to a private courtyard at the rear of the farmhouse.
There are three bedrooms, all with hard wood flooring and decorative
wooden ceilings. Two of the bedrooms have built in wood wardrobes and
stone fireplaces. There is a master suite, which also has a wooden floor
and ceiling. The house has two bathrooms, both of which are fully tiled.
One of the bathrooms has a bath with shower above, toilet, bidet and
pedestal sink. The farmhouse has wooden framed windows with internal
wood shutters. The farmhouse also has a large attic space.
Chapel: The farm has it's own
private chapel, which is in relatively good condition. The chapel has a
stone flagged floor and hand painted tiles to the walls as well as an
alter.
The farm also has a number of outbuildings,
which were once used for a variety of uses including pressing olives,
animal storage, feed storage and equipment. Some of these buildings have
fallen in a bad state of repair. There is also an adega, which was once
used for making and storing wine.
The farm has 22,480 square metres of land
and there is a stream running through this. The majority of the
property's land is situated on a hillside and has a gentle slope. |
