Registering a Vehicle in Portugal |

If you have purchased a vehicle in Portugal you are required to register it with the DGRN ( Direcção-Geral dos Registos e do Notariado). You will need to provide the following identification documents: |

| ◊ Proof of residence in Portugal - either a residency card, property title deeds or a rental contract. | |
| ◊ Proof of road-worthiness (IPO test certificate, the equivalent of an MOT in the UK, which should be provided by the seller). | |
| ◊ Vehicle registration documents - provided by the seller. | |
| ◊ Proof of payment (to date) of vehicle tax. This should be provided by the seller. | |
| ◊ Registration Fee. | |
