A one bedroom mill cottage for rent near Abrantes in Central Portugal. The cottage, which has been constructed in stone and restored four years ago, is set over one floor in a peaceful location. The mill cottage was restored approximately four years ago to a good standard, retaining many of the original features including the wooden beamed roof. The cottage is set on a farm and there is a neighbouring house close by, however this does not detract from the cottage's privacy.

The cottage is set over one floor, is fully double glazed and has a traditional style wooden beam roof with exposed wooden lats. There is ample parking for up to three vehicles outside the cottage. The entrance door leads into a hallway, with a tiled floor. Off this hallway there is a spacious partially tiled bathroom with a large corner bath with shower above, vanity basin, toilet and bidet. There is a double bedroom, which is double aspect and has good views out on to the countryside. This bedroom has a tiled floor and beamed roof.

The entrance to the living room kitchen is off the hallway. There are two steps into the living room, which are the mill cottage's original grinding stones. This room is triple aspect and has a large corner fireplace with a log burner as well as a tiled floor. There are a selection of base level units for the kitchen as well as a free standing fridge freezer and integrated oven and hob.

The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village of Rio do Moinhos (River of the Mills) where there are several cafe bars, a bakery, mini-market, post office, bar, restaurant and carpenters.

The larger town of Abrantes, which has several large supermarkets, schools, library, post office, health centre, river marina, banks, hospital, shops, cafe bars, restaurants, cinema and go-karting circuit, is approximately five minutes drive from the property. Abrantes also has a main line train station which goes to and from Lisbon. There is also a bus station which services the region and more national routes.

The cottage is a short drive from Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir, which is popular for all kinds of watersports. There is a nautical centre where it is possible to hire canoes, kayaks, speed boats and sail boats, approximately ten minutes drive from the cottage.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car.
