Santa Cita, which has several cafe bars, a pharmacy, sports stadium,
mini-market, restaurant and train station. The larger town of Tomar,
which has supermarkets, cafes, shops, restaurants, health centres,
schools, university, hospital, bus and train stations, art galleries,
sports centres and UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo is seven kilometres
from the cottage.
The town of Tomar also has a bustling
weekly market with a variety of products from clothing through to live
animals and is held every Friday morning. Tomar also has an antiques and
flea market once a month, held within the historic centre of the town.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' by car.
Lisbon airport is serviced by several low-cost airlines which operate
regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
