The Scolopendra Cingulatus centipede in Portugal is one to watch out for and one to be avoided. The Scolopendra Cingulatus has a venomous bite and can cause anaphylactic shock in some people.

The Scolopendra Cingulatus centipede has a set of claw like jaws, which it uses to capture and paralyse it's prey. A bite from a Scolopendra Cingulatus can be painful akin to a wasp or bee sting, though in certain cases cause anaphylactic shock.
