There are many opportunities for
scuba diving sites
in central Portugal especially along the Silver Coast (Costa da Prata)
with a variety of sites offering different experiences - ships wrecks,
reefs and deep sea diving.Diving off the Silver Coast
you could be fortunate enough to swim with whales, sharks, leatherback
turtles, blue fin tuna and manta rays.
Even inland an hour from some of Portugal's top dive
sites there is another, more unusual one at
Castelo do Bode lake.
Castelo do Bode is actually a man made reservoir, one which stretches 40
miles long. To construct it is was necessary to submerge six villages
and it is now possible to visit these.
