Second Republic Prime Ministers (National Dictatorship)

The second republic, military dictatorship and New State of Portugal was possibly the most stable of governments within the 20th century, however it was also the possibly the most damaging regime for the country.

During the 48 year period of the Second Republic and New State there were only eight prime ministers. The most notorious of which is Antonio de Oliveira Salazar, who ruled the country for 32 years.
