The house is situated near the town of Serra in central Portugal. There is a neighbouring house to one side, though the house and patio areas are private and have good views. Serra has several cafe bars, a pharmacy, butchers, post office, mini market and church, in Central Portugal.
The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is approximately ten to 15 minutes drive by car. Tomar is a popular bustling town with several supermarkets, shops, boutiques, cinema, builders merchants, schools, university, art galleries, municipal swimming pools and sports centres. Tomar hosts a weekly market every Friday which is popular with both locals and tourists alike.
Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir, is around a ten minute drive from the property. Castelo do Bode is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including sailing, swimming, canoeing, scuba diving, fishing and water skiing.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is approximately one and a half hours' drive by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
