The house, which has traditional 50 centimetre thick walls, has been partially renovated, however does require internal finishing. The house has stone window and door surrounds and has been constructed using traditional 'Schist' stone from the region. The doors and and windows are aluminium framed and give the appearance of being wooden. The house briefly comprises: Ground Floor: There is a spacious integral garage to the ground floor, which has a concrete floor. There is both a vehicle entrance door and a personnel door. There are also storage rooms off the garage, which have concrete floors and wooden beamed ceilings. First Floor: The first floor of the house has traditional been the living accommodation and is accessed via an exterior stone staircase. There is a central hallway which runs the depth of the house. This hallway has a wooden floor and ceiling. Off the hallway there are six rooms, all of which have wooden floors and ceilings. One of these rooms is double aspect. Another of the rooms has a fireplace. The property does require modernisation and renovation works, however the exterior stone work and roof are in reasonable condition. The house is accessed via a asphalt road and is easy to locate. It is situated near the town of Sertã in Central Portugal. Sertã is situated in the Beira Baixa region of Portugal and has a variety of shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, parks, banks, schools and a weekly market.
Both Lisbon and Porto airports are around equal driving distances from the property taking around two and a half hours each. Both airports are serviced by several low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom. |
