Cars aged between four
and seven years must be tested every two years, then annually
afterwards. There are accredited vehicle
test centres throughout Portugal and are usually located within
industrial zones (zona industrials) or towns. For cars aged between four
and seven years they must be tested every two years and afterwards once
annually.
The test centre will
request the vehicle ownership document (Titulo de Registo de Propriedade),
the logbook for the car (Livrete) and the registered owner's taxpayers
identification card before the test is carried out. Once the vehicle has
undergone the inspection a certificate will be issued, confirming
whether the vehicle has either passed or failed. |
