There is a storage room which is accessed from the kitchen, which runs the length of the cottage. This storage room has a concrete floor and a wooden beamed roof. There is a double opening wooden exterior door which leads to the front of the property.

The cottage also has an attached barn, which is double storey. The barn, which has been used for storage purposes, could be converted into additional living space quite easily. The barn currently has a dirt floor and a large, concrete vat, which was used originally for crushing grapes. The barn also has a wooden beamed roof.

The cottage has an attic, which does provide sufficient height room to be converted into additional living space if required. The attic has a wooden floor and there is a water storage (gravity fed) tank in situ at present.

The cottage is set on a plot of land measuring 600 square metres. The land is flat and there are a number of mature orange and fruit trees in situ. The property has a well for irrigating the land and there are also some brick sheds for animals, though these do need attention.

The cottage is situated in the small hamlet of Vila Verde and there are neighbouring properties either side, however there are good views over the surrounding valley. The closest town to the property is situated at Ferreira do Zêzere, which has supermarkets, shops, banks, cafes, restaurants, school, sports centre, health centre and bus station.

The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 20 minutes drive from the property. Tomar is a popular and bustling town with a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, schools, university, bus and train station and historic monuments.

The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
