The list of water sport activities available in Portugal is almost endless but does include body boarding, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, kite surfing, sailing, scuba diving, surfing, swimming, wakeboarding, water-skiing and yachting.

And although you may not be able to fit all the equipment you need to enjoy some of these sports into your luggage at the airport, you needn't worry. There are hundreds of specialist companies who provide tailor made packages for a variety of these water sport activities so even if you are visiting Portugal for a long weekend you can still take part in your preferred pursuit relatively inexpensively and easily.
