 Óbidos X International Chocolate Festival - 2nd - 25th March

X Obidos International Chocolate Festival

For all things chocolately head to Óbidos in central Portugal. This three week extravaganza celebrates all things chocolate. For it's tenth event the festival's theme is Disneyland and chocolatiers from around the world will compete to produce the best sculpture.

In addition to this there are stalls, demonstrations, a chocolate fashion show, body painting with chocolate and much, much more as this walled, mediaeval town turns into a dieters nightmare.

Óbidos International Chocolate Festival

 Lisbon Fashion Week - 8th - 11th March 2012

Fashionistas from around the world descend on Lisbon to see what Portuguese designers have to offer the 2013 Winter Season.

There are scores of shows from both established designers and up and coming talent over the four days in the Praca do Municipio, Lisbon.

So if you want to see what will be on offer in the shops next year, head down to Lisbon.

 Roxy Snowgirls Snowboarding 2012 - 9th - 11th March 2012

Showing off some of Portugal's best snowboarding talents in this three day event in the Serra da Estrela, central Portugal.

In addition to the National Female Snowboarding Championships (10th March) there is are work shops for snowboarding novices to hone their skills.

 Ourem Motor Expo - 10th & 11th March 2012

Fans of all things four wheel are in for a treat in Ourem, central Portugal when the Centro de Negocios opens is doors for a three day Exhibition.

The Ourem Motor Expo will have a range of classic, sports and race cars on show. On Sunday 11th March rally navigator Filipe Fernandes will be doing a Q&A.

 Lisbon Half Marathon - Sunday 25th March 2012

Lisbon Half Marathon

Athletes from around the world will descend on Lisbon to test their stamina in this 21,097 metres half marathon, which winds it way around the capital. Starting at the southern end of the Ponte Abril 25 and with the finishing line in front of the UNESCO listed Jeronimos Monastery organisers are hoping to top last year's record entry of 36,000.
